ForestNation eGifts can be created and sent via any desired action in your website or app. 

Each eGift plants a specified number of trees for the recipient in Tanzania! 

What is a ForestNation eGift?

You can plant trees for the recipient as a gift that keeps our beautiful planet healthy. Our eGifts are like Instagram Stories or Google Webstories. But they are not public and they last forever! You can personalise slides with video, gifs, text messages and our photo editor. So there's endless possibilities to express your feelings and communicate your messages with maxium impact.

How it works

Step 1 - Decide on your trigger event that will post a request to our API.

Step 2 - You POST a request to our eGift API. 

• creates the eGift for the recipient based on the specified template. 
• creates the Forest Profile for the recipient with tree points that represent the real trees we plant.
• adds Giving Tree Points to Your Forest Profile (Sender's Profile) as kudos for planting trees in another Forest Profile.
• creates the Forest Message that connects the Forest Profiles together.
• sends the notification email to the recipient with a link to their eGift, which links to their Forest Profile. 

Step 5 - Recipient receives a ForestNation notifcation email that they have been gifted. 

Step 6 - Recipient clicks a link in the notification email to view their eGift.

Step 7 - Recipient can visit and claim their Forest Profile and see updates about the trees that were planted in their forest. Recipient's Forest Profile links to the Sender's Profile via the Forest Message.
